Nadine Menendez put husband’s ‘power up for sale,’ prosecutors say

The general prosecutors and defense attorneys performed closing arguments today at the bribery trial in Nadine Mindez, former senator’s wife, Bob Menendez, DMG, accused of helping the broker who sold the Senator’s influence in exchange for gold tapes, money nourishing, and exposed Mercedes Benz.

It was repeatedly mentioned to the former Senator – who was not present and sentenced to a separate trial of 11 years in prison for bribery, worked as a foreign agent, and the accusation of obstacles – during the government’s summary. Sinndez was accused of obstructing justice in another indictment

Barry Cuborn, who represents the defense, argued that the government has applied very wide definitions of “official verbs” and “Quid Pro Quo”. Most of what was claimed to be routine political behavior. “Mindez must condemn any of them,” Cuborn told jury.

He specifically prompted the claim that a meeting between former Senator Mindez and his public prosecutor in New Jersey has reached an official law.

The defense of the credibility of Jose Orepe, a cooperative government witness, also asked that many of his testimony lacking confirmation. Cuborn referred to a dinner where Orepe claimed that the former Senator told him, “I saved your ass, not once but twice.” Cuborn argued that such statements were not verified and unreliable.
