Nearly 100 sickened by norovirus on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of Seas

Royal Caribbean International is wrestling with the outbreak of the Norofis virus, which caused nearly 100 people on board one of its ships so far.
More than 90 passengers and four crew members aboard the Seas Royal Caribbean International about their illness during the trip, according to the Center for Disease Control. This does not mean that they were all sick at the same time, but rather the total number reported during the ship’s flight. The Center for Disease Control that the prevailing symptoms were diarrhea and vomiting.
According to the CDC, the journey was alerted about the outbreak on September 8, according to Fox 8.

“The health and safety of our guests, the crew, and the societies that we visit are our top priority. To maintain an environment that supports the highest levels of health and safety on our ships, we implement strict cleaning procedures, many of which exceed public health guidelines,” said a spokesman for the Caribbean Group of Fox.
In response to the outbreak, Royal Caribbean International and its crew of cleaning and disinfection increased, and has collected samples of digestive system disease for testing, isolated passengers, staff and consultation with the CDC ships, according to the agency on its website.

Seren of the Seas San Diego left on September 19, and is expected to arrive in Miami on October 2.
The Center for Disease Control recommends that healthy passengers maintain themselves by washing their hands frequently, getting a lot of comfort and staying wet. Those who feel the disease are directed to inform the ship’s medical center and follow their instructions.

NOROVIRUS cases on the Seas of the Seas are the outbreak of the nineteenth cruise ship followed by the Center for Disease Control this year. According to the CDC website, the caused agent included in 14 out of 19 cases of Norofirus’s outbreaks, was three of the “unknown”, one of whom was Colley and another was “assumed” Sigotaratra, a type of food poisoning related to fish.
The number of outbreaks of digestive disease in the cruise ships exceeded 2024, when the Center for Disease Control followed 18 accidents, 15 of which were said Norofirus.
