Trump’s Labor Department aims to cut outdated rules and DEI-style requirements

First on the fox: The Ministry of Labor proposes 63 procedures, including many measures related to reducing the efforts of diversity, fairness and integration, and building on 37 similar measures taken during the first Trump administration by the administration.

“One of the first actions of President Trump was to direct his government to dismantle the outdated mountain of the rules that hindered American workers and companies for a very long time,” Labor Minister Lauri Chavez-Dumr said in a statement.

“EO 11246 regulations are prohibited by federal contractors and subcontractors of discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, gender, sex, sexual orientation, sexual identity and national origin and asked them to take positive measures on those rules,” a proposal in the federal registry.

Besides Dei, other rules are related to getting rid of “repeated” requirements in the mining industry, as well as getting rid of “old requirements for the approval process” for some technology, such as transport belts that work in coal miners.

These proposals are the result of Trump’s executive in March, “immediate measures to increase American metal production.”

“The actions of the Ministry of Labor are unprecedented, as they have reduced more than 60 old and exhausting regulations that affect American workers,” said Deputy Minister of Labor, Keith Sonderling, said.

In recent months, through the Ministry of Governmental efficiency and agency efforts on its own, many Trump administration departments have made significant discounts and programs that have Dei’s requirements.
