4 months into Trump’s second term, Democrats remain pessimistic about their party

Democrats remain pessimistic about the future of their party, six months after they were subjected to setbacks and a decline in voting by President Donald Trump and the Republicans.

This is a major discovery in a recently released national survey from the Associated Press Nork Public Affairs Research.

According to the survey, only about a third of the Democrats are very optimistic or somewhat around the future of the Democratic Party. This is a sharp drop from last July, when about six out of 10 Democrats said they were optimistic.

The Democratic Party has been in the political wilderness since last November elections, when the Republicans won the control of the White House and the Senate and defended their fragile majority. Republicans have made gains between black and Latin voters as well as younger voters, all of whom are traditional members at the Democratic Party base.

This is what dive in the favorable classifications of the Democratic Party, which has reached its lowest levels ever in many new opinion polls so far this year.

According to the AP-NORC survey, only about a third of the respondents have a positive vision for the party. The Republican Party was not much better, as about four out of 10 people get a favorable vision of the Republican Party.
