NHL analyst makes his feelings known on Oilers’ pursuit of in-demand $30,750,000 Penguins star

Olrons Edmonton is looking to improve a six -year -old group. One of the name that appeared is Pittsburgh Penguin Brian Rost, who scored 31 goals and 34 decisive passes last season. He has three years in his contract for six years, 30,750,000 dollars.

On his Edmonton Journal of Edmonton, David Staples wrote:

“It is not surprising that we hear that Oilers are interested in a rust. What team is not? What would be surprising that Rust ends here … a trade for a competitor like Edmonton, and he had no influence to pay for such a step.”

Rust does not have a condition not trade in his contract. This means that Pittsburg has the right to determine the future of rust. Many NHL teams want to add a player like RUST, who has experience, speed and ability to score. It will not be an easy trade for him on Edmonton, as they will face competition. Moreover, Edmonton has a small space, and this makes adding a player like RUST difficult.

“Why is it unlikely to come to Edmonton? All kinds of teams have the maximum area to take the rust contract over the next three years,” Staples added.

If Pittsburg wants a great return in this trade, they are likely to search for a more space difference.

RUST has played 11 seasons since she was drafted in 2010 by the penguins. He won the Stanley Cup (2016 and 2017), touched the mark of 50 points four times and scored more than 20 goals in six consecutive seasons.

Oils General Motors in the Stanley Cup finals with new players

Oils focuses on holding another race to the Stanley Cup final this season. They still have major players such as Conor McDavid, Lyon Drissiel and Ivan Bouchard. The team added new players, including Andrew Manjaban, to replace those who lost at the Corey Perry and Trades (Evander Kane).

“It is good to have some new faces … it brings a little different energy,” said General Manager Stan Bowman (the first week of July). “They were not here last year and the previous year when we pushed (to the Stanley Cup Finals), so I think they are hungry to reach this limit in the qualifiers and be able to play.”

Oils lost to Florida Panthers in the last Stanley Cup in a row. The team believes that they can take another step forward this year.
