Nintendo’s new Switch 1 update is getting things ready for Switch 2

With a little more than a month before the date of the Nintendo Switch 2 version on June 5, Nintendo released a Switch 1 update that will help prepare things for the arrival of the new console. The original V20.0.0 update adds a set of new features that match Switch 2, such as the Home menu of the virtual game card and Gameshare features that were announced earlier this month, and the new system transfer feature that can store your data in the cloud so that you are ready to put it on Switch 2 – just make sure to read the instructions closely before trying it.

You will not be able to use the Gameshare feature yet, as participation can only start from Switch 2 via local wireless communications – the switching system will not work 1.

You can see the new virtual game cards that combine digital programs and DLC to you to “download” and “direct” between two different systems, and provide games for others in the Nintendo account family group. If you loan a game for someone else, you can pull it again while it is on the Internet even if they are playing now, but if they go without connection without returning it or returning online, you will need to wait until the end of the two -week lending period until it is returned to your library automatically.

The virtual game card guide from Nintendo explains all the privacy and generalities of the new lending system, such as how to connect each key only to another key at a time, how to manage game cards from the web, and how to hide (or otherwise) certain cards.

To use digital games across more than two systems only or without these restrictions, Nintendo now depends on online licensing settings, which are also added to the 1st key in this update. If operated, the user will be allowed to play any of the digitally purchased games and DLC as long as it is connected to the Internet, without relying on virtual game cards.

But if you have already decided to upgrade, the first station may be the new option for “Transferring the System to Nintendo Switch 2” in the system list in system settings. Although it can be used to transfer the system to the local system as soon as your new console arrives, there is also an option to download the system transfer data to the cloud now, as it will be ready to download to the 2nd key without having to reach your old system.

Although this may be good for a person whose key 1 passes to another person, the downside is that it will reset the key 1 on the factory, so it is better to wait if possible, and it will be stored only for a year if not downloaded. There are other wrinkles that it is possible to prepare the transfer of Switch 2 cloud, then cancel it and return your data to the key 1. However, it also shows the common questions about the transfer of Nintendo, while it should not be the same key 1 that you start with, if you start on the OLED key, you will only be able to cancel your data on another key.
