Noble Audio FoKus Apollo review: The high price of pristine audio

I do not review much of the headphones of $ 650. This is because most sound companies sell their first equipment from $ 300 to $ 400. The noble voice is not like most companies. Fokus Rex5, for example, in five separate drivers where a lot of competition is used at most. Nobel was also among the first to employ XMEMs drivers in wireless earphones in an attempt to improve the performance of the brightness.

Insert Fokus Apollo, a pair of $ 649 of active noise cancellation headphones (ANC) with a sedimentary crane and battery life up to 80 hours. The real star of the show is the preparation of the driver, which Nobel says is the first time that this composition appears in the wireless headphones. The company is working again to seek the best absolute sound quality, but it may sacrifice a lot along the way.

Noble Audio’s suggestion: Simple: “First World” headphones that offer a hybrid amplifier for a 40mm dynamic driver with 14.5 mm magnetic magnetic driver. The dynamic driver is not the new thing for a group of cans, but adding the latter makes the FOKUS APOLLO sound setting unique. For flat magnetic motives, flat magnetic drivers contain delicate and flat events that usually provide wider and more immersive audio and improved details compared to dynamic study programs. The flat -headphone drivers for the headphones issued by the hearing is usually booked because they are larger and more fragile.

With Fokus Apollo, Nobel benefited from the best in the worlds to adjust stocks. You can get the power of a dynamic driver with the clarity of a flat magnetic driver. Since the flat magnetic units cannot transfer enough air to the strong broiler who yearns most of us, and since dynamic drivers are limited to medium and medium details, the company argues that it created the optimal solution.

From the first second of the first song, I was able to tell that Fokus Apollo was built differently. Adding flat magnetic drivers provide the most heavy flower types almost ridiculous of the details. Albums like Spiritbox Sea tsunami This lacks clarity on other headphones that greatly benefit from a triple boost, providing more differences in the guitar and texture of the kick cylinder explosions. Fokus Apollo also outperforms the lungy patterns, allowing you to hear every part of the sound coming from the vocal, banjo, dress, and more on Julien Baker & Torres “Sugar in the tank”. The transition from most of the headphones above the ear to Fokus Apollo is similar to the transition from the broadcast of standard to vinyl. I do not think this is exaggerated.

A pair of ANC headphones at a value of $ 649 provides some good cancellation, even if you buy it primarily for sound performance. Nobel chose an ANC hybrid preparation with three microphones on each side and slide Qualcomm QC3084. This processor provides the necessary digital signals (DSP) and algorithms to reduce the background deviations.

Like a lot of ANC headphones, Fokus Apollo is struggling with sounds. This means any hopes in the silence of a casual colleague will not come out. However, headphones do strong with fixed noise sources – fans, devices, noise machines, etc. – to provide some comfort. The ingenuity of noise blocking is not as good like Bose, but I found a wide space for focus during my test sessions. Although the African National Party here is not among the best, it is completely served in most environments.

Nobel is a 60 -hour battery life with an enabled the African National Congress Party, with another 20 hours of use if you turn it off. I found that these numbers are correct during my presence with Fokus Apollo. After 30 hours of music, podcasts and work calls with noise cancellation, headphones are still 57 percent of the battery – track slightly better than the company’s announced numbers.

Fokus Apollo comes with all the accessories you need at all in the box. Noble Microphone Boom includes a semester, a transformer from 3.5 mm to 4.4 mm, a two-fracture flying transformer, USB-C cable and AUX 3.5 mm cable. Headphones can be used with any of these ropes, and the company recommends that when using the microphone for optimum sound quality.

If you plan to use Fokus Apollo for calls, you can expect mixed results. In quiet spaces with a little echo, it will look good enough for a professional view. When you move to a room with some natural frequency, the microphones on these headphones take it well. Moreover, it is not great in preventing the background sounds, as all fans, white noise machines and loud devices were clearly heard on the other side during my tests.

Fokus Apollo is really expensive, so Nobel could not give us a group of headphones that were mostly built of plastic and called it one day. Fortunately, the company chose a mixture of mixed aluminum, the distinct protein skin and the soft alcantara head gang. The male foam pads covered with the skin can be replaced, which will extend the age of the headphones under heavy use. There is also a kind of gentle fabric on the outer part of the ear cups and a headscarf that provides contrast via touch and optical.

Noble Audio provides material controls on Fokus Apollo, so you will never have to conflict with gestures or touch to make changes. On the right side, there is a button dedicated to ANC (ON, Off and Transparency) button with a three -controlled bench below. Here, the upper and lower buttons deal with the sound level and track the adjustments while using the medium for power or pairing from bluetooth and operation/temporary suspension and calling Google or Siri assistant or some other virtual assistance. On the left ear cup, the scrolling bar allows you to mute all microphones, until the mutation when attached, without reaching your phone or keyboard.

Fokus Apollo focuses only on the basics, so it does not offer any of the advanced features today. Heck, there are not even tools that have been on other groups for years – such as the discovery of corrosion. Although you will get support for Sony’s LDAC CODEC alongside AAC, AptX, AptX HD and SBC, there is no mention of Dolby ATMOS or any form of spatial sound. You do not find any discussion about the adaptive voice or the adaptive National Congress Party, which makes the automatic amendments for both public cancellation and noise.

Look, I realize very well that the hypothesis here is the virgin sound of all. But at a price of $ 649, which is more than $ 100 of AirPods Max, by the way, I expect a degree of comfort that allows me to keep these headphones for most of the day. Automatic stop or erosion should be standard at this price and it will be good to have some additional ANC options. I am not difficult to satisfy about whether this is the automatic or adaptive type, or whether the settings that I have to replace in the application are. Just, please, give me something more than EQ when your voice outside the box is really great.

Once it reaches 500 dollars and above, what most companies exceeded their wireless headphones at the pioneering level. You are also in my price range where you only reviewed a few models. If the money is not an object, the $ 699 of the PX8 of Bowers & Wilkins offers excellent sound quality in a design that may be better for some people (there are at least multiple color options). The performance of the African National Congress Party is also not broken to the Earth, and one of my largest handles with the company’s products is a lack of advanced features such as Fukos Apollo.

There is also AirPods Max and Dyson on-Trac, but not easy to recommend. Apple Oer-Or has been updated since its arrival in 2020, with the exception of the upgrade to the USB-C and the next addition to the sound without a loss. DYSON headphones have a long battery and unique design, but they have not sparked sound, and have an average ANC performance and lack the modern features that I expect at $ 500.

I also need to mention Master & Dynamic’s MW75 in discussing more than $ 500. If you are after advanced looks, there is no other company that continues to freeze the brand like M & D. According to its strains, the company marries the skin and minerals on these headphones, along with the trenched glass panels on the outer surface of the ear. I have always enjoyed the balance of M&D shares and the performance of the African National Congress Party. You will not get any advanced features here as well, but like PX8, there are multiple color options if you are after something other than black and silver paint in the Nobel.

I have no doubt that there are many people who will be carefully enjoyed by Fukos Apollo. If you yearn for the best absolute sound quality in the market, these headphones are the best you have experienced in this regard. For me, to pay $ 649, I expect more features. The first element will be ANC’s best performance, but I do not feel that the spatial sound support and the discovery of corrosion are too much. Even without this, you can get a new driver setting some of the detailed sound that is ridiculed across various types.
