Nottingham Forest linked with surprise move for history-making Premier League winner – report

Nottingham Forest made the headlines again after suffering their eighth successive defeat, losing 3-0 to Chelsea at home.

The defeat marked the end of Ange Postecoglou’s 39-day reign, as he was sacked by owner Evangelos Marinakis just minutes after the final time whistle.

A quick farewell was given and Ang was seen leaving the stadium shortly after.

Several names have been linked with the job since then, with reports emerging that Forrest may have approached Sean Dyche.

Rafael Benitez is another name that has been mentioned for the role, while the most interesting rumor concerns former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.

Roberto Mancini is eyeing a return to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest

According to The Telegraph, Mancini has emerged as a key target for Nottingham Forest.

According to the report, the club have already made contact with the Italian and Mancini is said to be interested in the job as well.

The report also names Marco Silva as a person of interest, but Forest would have to pay a significant sum in compensation to prize him away from Fulham.

He also adds that while the club are in advanced talks with Daiche, the former Everton man is looking for a long-term deal, something the club are not willing to offer at the moment.

Roberto Mancini’s incredible managerial career including a history-making spell at Manchester City

Mancini has built an impressive reputation as one of the most successful managers in Europe.

His coaching career began in Italy, where he quickly made his mark with Fiorentina and Lazio, leading both clubs to Coppa Italia wins in the early 2000s.

However, it was at Inter Milan where Mancini’s reputation rose as he led the Nerazzurri to three successive Serie A titles and several domestic cups, restoring their dominance of Italian football during a period when Juventus were battling off-field controversy.

In 2009, Mancini took over an ambitious Manchester City team under new ownership based in Abu Dhabi.

The Italian’s arrival marked the beginning of a new era in the federation. Tasked with ending the club’s long drought of silverware under his new ownership, he did so promptly, leading the team to the FA Cup in 2011, their first major trophy in 35 years.

The following season, Mancini masterminded one of the most dramatic titles in Premier League history.

A dramatic 3-2 win over QPR, scored in the dying moments by Sergio Aguero, gave the club their first league title in 44 years and laid the foundation for their modern dominance of English football.

He also took part in the challenge of the Italian national team in 2018, after its miserable failure to qualify for the World Cup.

He engineered a stunning recovery that led to victory at Euro 2020, where the Azzurri defeated England in the final at Wembley Stadium.

His resume speaks for itself and you will undoubtedly make an excellent date.
