Open-source AI that hones its reasoning skills

Deep Cogito Cogito V2, a new family of open source intelligence models that increase its thinking skills.

It was released under an open source license, and the new Cogito V2 collection includes four models of artificial intelligence of hybrid logic: two medium -sized at 70B and 109B, two of two versions widely at 405B and 671B.

The largest model, the 671B model of experts (MEE), is already described as one of the most powerful open source AIS. The company stated that it is competing with the latest from Deepseek and closes the gap on property systems such as O3 and Claude 4 OPUS.

But the real story is not only about size or strength; It is about a fundamental shift in how to learn artificial intelligence. Instead of just “thinking” for a longer period of time to find an answer, Cogito V2 is designed to accommodate its thinking processes.

This internal logic is achieved through a technique called frequent distillation and amplification (IDA), which disturbs the discoveries from searching again to the basic parameters of the model. The goal is to build a stronger “intuition”, allowing the model to expect as a result of his own thinking without having to do the entire research.

Since the artificial intelligence models are open to its “better intestinal feeling” for the correct approach, logic chains are 60 % shorter than those for competitors such as Deepseek R1.

This efficiency extends to the budget. Deep Cogito says it has developed all of its models – from experiments to final training – to become a group of less than $ 3.5 million. The 671B model has received special attention, not only trained to improve his final answers, but also to refine the thinking process itself. The team shared an example of this logic, as it compared the Deep Cogito Open Orce Ai model two pictures of ducks and lion, which indicates the process of deep thinking about its habitats, colors and composition through transportation learning. Deep Cogito believes that this emerging feature can be a strong way to pave training data for future multimedia thinking systems.

Looking at the future, Deep Cogito is planning to “climb the hill on the gains of repetitive self -improvement” in its endeavor to build Superrs. They have re -committed that all artificial intelligence models they create will be open source.
