Oscar winning actor director Robert Redford, known for ‘All the President’s Men’ passes away at 89

Robert Redford, actor, director and environmental activist who became one of the Hollywood stars, died at the age of 89.

According to the advertising company Rogers and Kwan PMK, Redford died in his sleep at his home in Proveau, Utah, the New York Times reported.

Redford’s march has spanned five decades, with prominent offers at Bush Cassidy and Sundance Kid (1969), born (1973), the way we were (1973), and all the men of the president (1976). His mixture of good appearance, magic and moderate style made it one of the most capable actors in his generation.

Although he never won the Academy Award for acting, Redford won the Academy Award for Best Exit for Normal Persons (1980), who also won the Best Image Award. In 2001, he was presented with an Oscar Fakhri for his contribution to the cinema.

In 1978, Redford established the Sandans Film Festival in Utah, which grew to the first world of independent films. Through the Sandans Institute, he supported new voices in filmmaking a long time before independent cinema becomes prevalent.

Redford was deeply committed to environmental causes, as he supported groups such as the Council of Defense of Natural Resources and the National Wildlife Union.

Later in his career, he reached a new generation of fans by joining Marvel Cinematic University, and Alexander Pierce played in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014).

He was born on August 18, 1937, in Santa Monica, California, Redford grew up in what he described as a “lower working class”. Follow art first, and studied drawing in Europe and New York, before converting the paths into acting. By 1959, he was in Broadway, in the end, on his way to Hollywood.

Despite his fame, Redford often talked about his discomfort with celebrities. He told New York magazine to New York magazine. He also spoke with pride in its retreat in Utah, noting “some people have an analysis. Utah.”

Redford remained active in the film in his last years, as it reunited with Jane Fonda in our souls at night (2017). At that time, he suggested that he would be one of his final acting roles, as he planned to return to drawing and focus on guidance.
