Wisconsin, Florida elections get spin treatment as Dems, GOP look ahead to 2026

Milwoki, Weiss. – Democrats celebrate a greater victory than expected in high -level elections and is historically costly in Wisconsin, in the first competition for the polling fund since President Donald Trump returned to power in January.
Judge Suzan Croford topped the judge who tends to conservatives Brad Shimel by about ten points of percentage-with the continued some votes-to maintain the liberal majority in the Supreme Court in Wisconsin, which is likely to rule on important cases such as the restoration of congress, work rights and YPage.
With a tremendous pumping of money from democratic and republican alignment groups from outside the Wisconsin state, which turned the race to the most expensive judicial elections in the history of the nation, the competition partially turned into a referendum on Trump’s overwhelming and controversial movements during the opening months of his second round in the White House.
As in the forefront and medium in the non -partisan confrontation was a person, along with Trump, he was not in the ballot: billionaire Elon Musk, the best donor to the president and White House advisor, who introduced himself into the race.

“The Wisconsin people directly rejected the influence of Elon Musk, Donald Trump and billionaires of private billionaires.”
DNC, which is looking for larger competitions next year in the mid -term elections, called for the confrontation in Wisconsin “Belwether”.
But the Republicans went out in the forefront of other marquees on Tuesday, as they control two vacant seats in Congress in special elections in the state of Red State Florida. The two -number victories by Republican candidates will be granted a little bit of breathing in the House of Representatives, as the party holds a very fragile majority as it aims to pass the Trump agenda.

“The American people have sent a clear message tonight: they want elected officials who will play the agenda of President Trump in the first America, and their votes cannot be bought by national Democrats,” said Mike Watti, Chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Democratic candidates in the Special Congress elections have greatly overcome their Republican counterparts-a sign that the party’s base is angry and revitalized-which was forced into groups outside the Republican Party to pour money and resources into races during the final extending. Democratic candidates ended with a loss of 15 and 14 points in the areas that Trump carried by 37 and 30 points in the presidential elections last November.
Democrats soon highlight how “performance” in Florida. The majority of PAC, the best Super Pac team that supports Democrats in the House of Representatives, tells that the results showed that “the political opposite winds are firmly heading on our backs to 2026.”
But Mike Marinella, a spokesman for the National Congress of Republican Committee, argued that “Democrats fled only more than $ 20,000,000 on a condemned effort to make two regions in the deep Florida competitors-and a bombing of water in the most embarrassing way.”

But the results in Florida, especially Wisconsin, are likely to give Democrats a tremor and verify their efforts to target musk.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and Spacex, who took the tinnitus to the federal government’s workforce while directing the recently established government of government competencies to Trump, to nearly $ 20 million in the Wisconsin race through groups alignment to support Schimel.
In a controversial move, Musk took a $ 1 million check in a march in Green Bay on Sunday evening to voters in Wisconsin who have already made voting cards in the competition and signed a petition to stop the “active judges”.
“I could never imagine that I would face the richest man in the world, for justice in the state of Wisconsin. We won.”
Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, the largest Democrat in the Chamber, argued that the Wisconsin state voters “sent a decisive message to Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Douj through an extremist Republic rejection of their Supreme Court: Our democracy is not for sale.”
“Anyone who calculates the Democrats has died wrong.”
But Democrats have a serious brand issue at the present time.
The positive classification of the party has sank to its lowest levels ever in separate national surveys made by CNN and NBC News. These numbers were followed low for Democrats in a survey of the University of Quinobak in this field in February.
In addition, newer Fox News PollHe pointed out that the classification of Democrats in Congress is 30 %, near its lowest level. Democratic activists are angry because his party’s inability to President Donald Trump’s agenda.
And when it comes to low low elections for the year and special elections, the party in power – and it is clear that Republicans in the country’s capital – are facing political opposite winds.
“We will get up to fight on another day. But this was not our day,” Shimel said in his concession speech.

“Exit from the successful November, we knew that the April elections would be difficult.”
Republicans note that the Democrats enjoyed a wide range of private election victories in 2023 and 2024 before suffering from dangerous setbacks in the November elections last.

“Special elections are especially for some reason, and they are not always useful in coal mines for what awaits us,” Colin Reed, veteran strategic expert Colin Reed told Fox News Digital. “While it can be used as an energy scale, it is also a reflection of individual candidates whose names are on polling cards.”
“The biggest challenge for Democrats who look forward is the lack of a ruling vision or agenda that transcends the reflexive and blanket opposition of the White House and its continuous placement outside the main current in a large number of cases of sound sense.”
