‘In it to win it’: Cuomo refuses to back down in heated NYC mayoral race against Zohran Mamdani

The former New York Governor, who was defeated last month with double numbers by Social Democratic Socialism, Zahran Mamdani, announced in the preliminary elections of the Democratic Municipality in New York City, on Monday that he will continue to attempt the general elections as an independent candidate.

“Only 13 % of the New York population voted in the preliminary elections in June. The general elections in November and I have to win,” Komo announced in a video posted on social media.

Mamdani, the main of Komo and nine other candidates three weeks ago, shook the Democratic Party, and strengthened the 33 -year -old State Council from Queens until he became the first Muslim mayor in the most intensive city.

“Unless you live under a rock, you know that the democratic preliminary elections did not go as I had hoped,” said Komo, the former ruler who resigned from his post in 2021.

“As my grandfather used to say, when you are falling, learn the lesson and choose yourself reserve and enter the game. This is what I will do. The battle to save our city is not over.”

At the support event on Monday, Mamdani’s reaction to Komo’s move was.

“I welcome everyone in this race, and I have been sure of that three weeks for the elementary night,” he said.

“I think he is struggling to reconcile with what it means on Tuesday,” added Mamdani. “

Mamdani also coincided with the former ruler on Monday, in response to a photo of Cuomo’s video.

“We have made him making a man in street videos with a man in Karahart by next week, I will feel my adeny chi and eat bee vials,” Mamdani said, referring to videos in the viral campaigns.

The announcement of Komo was not a big surprise.
