Bessent warns that the federal government will not bailout NYC under Mamdani

Treasury Secretary Scott Beesen warned on Wednesday that if Zahran Mamdani is carrying out his socialist economic plans as a mayor, New York City will come as she pleads with Washington to save her – and he will not give them one.

“I guarantee you, and there are not many things in confirmed life, but New York City will come to the federal government for a rescue plan if Mamdani’s plans are implemented,” said Maria Bartopiromo at Fox Business.

Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to the Fox Business request for comment.

“All of the owners of the observers, all companies. If you look back over the past five years, we have already seen the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of the United States from Manhattan Province to Palm Beach Province.”

His comments are at a time when New York City is considering in the possible elections for 33 -year -old democratic socialism.

Mamdani put the ability to bear the costs at the forefront of his campaign to the largest city in America. But his proposals rocked Wall Street, as executive officials appeared as better than critics for agenda devices that include free buses and city -owned grocery stores and freezing rent for tenants.

In the wake of Mamadani’s victory in the preliminary elections for democracy, the director of the wasting hedge fund, Bill Akman, pledged to fund a competitor.

He also warned that the financial plan for Mamdani “will destroy jobs and cause wealthy companies and wealthy taxpayers.”
