Red state Dems walk out over bill banning prisoners’ taxpayer-funded sex changes

The Democrats of the Georgia State Council organized a transfer to protest against a draft law that went to the ruler’s office because of its signature, which prohibits the nationality change surgeries funded by the taxpayer on prisoners.

The draft law approved 100-2 votes, both of which are registered any voices of Democrats.

Legislation, SB 185, under the auspices of Republican Senator Randy Robertson, the Ministry of Reform in Georgia, is prohibited from providing sexual transformed medical treatments, including surgical operations and hormonal treatments, to prison prisoners. However, the Democratic parliament, Sam Sam Park, claimed that the Republicans were playing politics, not the Democrats.

“Republicans continue to waste time in manufactured culture wars, while the Georgians are struggling with increasing housing, food, health care and economy costs that are increasingly confirmed due to the Republican leadership in the capital,” Park said. “We went out to clarify the matter: Georgia Democrats here to fight for working families, not political deviations.”

The Republicans in Georgia have taken an aggressive approach to the issues of transgender people this legislative session, with the introduction of many bills that seek to agree with President Donald Trump’s executive orders.

It is not clear how much cosmetics or transgressive surgical treatments cost every taxpayer in Georgia, but the gender assertion center can range from $ 8,000 to $ 50,000, depending on the type of procedure.

Other countries have moved this year to the provision of similar bills that prohibit the treatments of transgender people funded by the taxpayers, including Utah and Kentucky. California was among the first states to submit a transformer procedure for prison prisoners in 2017 after a legal battle launched by a prisoner two years ago.

In January and February 2025, Trump signed executive orders to decrease the “gender ideology” initiatives funded by the federal government.
