Red state lawmakers warned about allegedly accepting ‘DEI dollars’ from hospital association: Watchdog

First on the fox: Non -profitable organizations warn against the legislators in Tennessee of the group of hospitals that they say calmly drive the radical Dei policies – even when some of these legislators receive the group donations.

As institutions began to align their policies with President Donald Trump’s efforts to eliminate diversity, fairness and insertion initiatives (Dei), the consumer research group, a conservative, non -profit consumer agency, sent a message to many Republican lawmakers in Tennessee urging them to cut ties with the Tennessee Hospital Association (Tha).

“The representatives of the DEI dollars are represented by the awakening institutions such as the Tennessee Hospital Association themselves directly with President Trump,” CEO Will Hilde told Fox News Digital. “The president was clear: ongoing organizations should be investigated in the motivation of DEI discriminatory policies.”

The message, which was sent to the ruler, Lieutenant Randy McKenali and Speaker of parliament Cameron Sixon, both of them are Republicans, after the group launched a campaign last month entitled “What does the Vanderbelt Medical Center hide?” After finding that the university was not only deleting some of its references to Dei’s obligations and resources, but also hiding it behind the password -protected web pages.

The message was also to the majority leader in the House of Representatives William Lambres, the state of Serend Shen Reeves, Jacques Johnson, Ed Jackson, Becky Massi, Vereil Hale, state representatives Gary Hicks, Sabi “Doc” Kumar and Ryan Williams.

Public documents indicate that the legislators received financial support from Tha, which found the association still promotes Dei and “healthy rights” through its council on inclusion and health equality.

“Our campaign is asking what is the medical center at Vanderbilt University, which is hiding in the attempts of the health and glow system to cover the DEI paths on a large scale – it is mainly looming with a great red science requesting the investigation.”

From 2020 to 2024, the Political Action Committee of the Tennessee Hospital Association (PAC) made $ 707,950 as contributions to candidates and parables in the state, which includes the House of Representatives and the Republican Senate.

“This is the reason that consumer research has great concerns that your acceptance of the DEI from Thai refers to an organizational effort to prevent state investigations in hospitals, such as VUMC, which has faced criticism to determine stock priorities on health care and provide gender transition procedures that are irreversible to the palace,” and the message of legislators on Friday.

“This should be worrying to you and hospital -based monsters to provide exceptional care for patients, free of political agenda.”

In a previous statement by Fox News Digital, VUMC spokesman John Hoser said in light Trump Modern executive procedures that impose an end to the Dei programs, especially in educational institutions, VUMC “performs a comprehensive review” of its programs to know “where there may be reviews in compliance, including updating information on websites and other public platforms.”

Trump signed “ending illegal discrimination and restoring the merit -based opportunities” in January to eliminate all Dei programs within federal agencies and between federal contractors. The previous directives that strengthened positive procedures and asking the contractors canceled the implementation of Dei initiatives, arguing that these programs led to “preferential treatment”.

Fox News Digital communicated with VUMC, Tennessee Hospital and Republican Legionships, who received financial donations from them.
