Anz has issued an apology and offered psychological advice to more than 100 senior bankers after receiving an email sent in an error informing them of returning their computers, before the news that will be expelled.

The Australian bank sent automatic emails before the date set on Wednesday. He made an online call with employees later that day to confirm that those who received them will lose their jobs.

“Unfortunately, these emails indicate an exit date for some of our colleagues before we can share their results with them,” said Bruce Rush, the acting head of the retail department at ANZ, in an email to the employees who witnessed the financial Times.

Rush said: “I regret that this position has caused this position. Please note that we are committed to the treatment of every colleague with dignity and respect during our movement during this process.”

This error comes as Nuno Matos, the former HSBC executive, who took over the position of CEO in May, rings the changes in the bank. It is expected that strategic reform will be announced in October. Anz shares increased by 18 percent so far this year to $ 33.69.

The bank is struggling with a series of scandals in recent years, including an investigation into the forgery of alleged bond prices and bad behavior in the trading hall.

Anz was planning to inform employees about job reduction next week. AnZ spokesman said the bank “apologized without registration or condition for our employees.”

The Financial Sector Union, which represents employees in the financial industry, said that it was contacted by members via emails, which caused “panic and distress.”

“This is a disgusting way to workers to learn about job discounts – through a failed email instead of a respectable conversation,” said National president Wendi in the Federation.

She said: “These mistakes are the direct result of the chaotic change that the new CEO of Anz is forced.”

The Commonwealth Bank in Australia, the largest Anz competitor, had earlier this month to reflect a plan to dismiss the 45th call center workers that it planned to replace AI Chatbot.

The bank has struggled to overcome the high incoming calls, and since then he has apologized to employees and offered to re -publish them. FSU complained to the fair action committee, Australia’s Employment Court, regarding this case.
