Rep. Sanchez accuses Treasury Secretary Bessent of gender-based interruption

The hearing of the House of Representatives Committee in the House of Representatives took an unexpected turn on Wednesday when Representative Linda Sanchez (D-Ca) accused Treasury Secretary Scott Payet of her boycott because of her gender-which gives hearing ears from the room.

The exchange occurred during a five -minute interrogation session, as Sanchez challenged the impact of the definitions that were enacted during the Trump administration.

“Prices rise on many daily commodities,” Sanchez said, citing more clothes, shoes, canned foods, games and home tools. She added, “On average, Trump’s tariff costs families $ 3,000 for the same goods from what they were last year,” although they did not cite the source of the number when pressing them.

When Bessent tried to intervene, Sanchez quickly cut him: “Please do not interrupt me … I know I am a woman, but please try to limit the answer to my questions.”

This observation prompted ears from the hearing room, where the reaction of one of the attendees interacted with an audible voice, “Oh, come on.” Sanchez replied, “No, I’m sorry, but we are talking all the time, and I don’t want to happen in this session.”

Bessent, a gay publicly, did not address the accusation and instead focused on defending the administration’s commercial policies.

When Sanchez challenged him about the effects of prices and commercial behavior of China, Bessin replied, “This is not true.” They said, “They have met their agreements under President Trump in 2020, and President Biden did not impose.”

Sanchez has repeatedly claimed that American consumers pushed more because of the definitions and described recent negotiations with China as rushing and lacking transparency. “A poor negotiating trade agreement with China may not deserve the newspaper on which he wrote,” she said. “I was concerned about hearing this morning that Trump said that the United States and the and Shina deal took place just two days after the talks in London.”

Bessent defended the agreement as a preliminary step. He said: “The deal he gave was a specific goal, and it will be a much longer process,” adding, “China has proven an unreliable partner.”

It was repeatedly supervised by the clash between Sanchez and Pesin by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adrian Smith (R-NE), who reminded members of the time limits and decoration throughout the session.

The moment spread quickly on social media, as the official official response account of the White House was weighted, and this step was described as “shameful”.
