Researcher warns of NYC exodus if socialist Zohran Mamdani wins mayor race

Michael Tott, a research fellow at the University of Texas at the Fox News Digital Institute, said Zahran Mamdani’s promises to freeze rents and raise taxes on companies can lead to work in New York City.

“If you are from New Yorker, and I am looking for a reasonable place to live, it will not be in a city where Zahran Mamdani runs.”

His platform also includes promises such as fast buses and free care for the child, unlike his “popular energy” with his opponents in the general elections, former state governor Andrew Como, mayor Eric Adams and Republican candidate Cortis Salwa.

But Titi said that Mamdani lacks the main understanding of supply and demand.
“It completely shortens how difficult it is to stay on his feet and constantly bring products to their customers,” said Titi.
“More offer is better for consumers,” said Tath. “More governmental mandates are worse for consumers because they rise in prices.”
Tott said that the elections of the mayor of New York City are declining, not only for its residents, but for the Americans, on the pretext that there may be “a continuous redirecting of US capital markets to places such as Dallas and Florida.”
If the New York residents are elected, Mamdani, these policies will restore the city’s contracts, said Tath said.

Mamdani confirmed that he does not like capitalism, as Irene Burnett CN told in June that he “has many criticism of capitalism.”
