Rubio announces crackdown on Chinese student visas
Foreign Minister Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that the United States will begin “strongly” to cancel the visas of Chinese students.
“Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, the US State Department will work with the Ministry of Internal Security to cancel the visas strongly for Chinese students, including links with the Chinese Communist Party or study in critical areas,” Rubio wrote in a statement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also review visa standards to enhance auditing in all future visa requests from the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong.
