Saint Teresa of Avila’s 440-year-old remains draw 100,000 Catholic pilgrims to Spain

Catholics made a pilgrimage to a town in Spain to see the 440 -year -old Saint Teresa’s body.

The journey full of faithful faith took on Alba De Tormes, where the Spanish saint is buried, to see her remains.

The Catholic Church has been offered for the first time in more than 110 years.

According to Associated Press, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, a former Karmlit Salamka, said 100,000 people visited the saint for two weeks.

Visitors from all over the world made the trip to see this rare event.

“He gave me a feeling of fulfillment, joy and sadness.”

A group of nuns from India were forced to wipe tears while standing beside the coffin looking at the saint.

Pope Leo XIV himself made a trip to the Tersa hometown in Avilia, which is an hour drive from Alba De Tormes.

The coffin from the saint of the saint of headache is about four feet.

What visitors see is the Teresa skull that usually wears with clothes that cover the rest of the body.

The Tersa heart is kept in a jar in another part of the church while its fingers, the jaw, are kept in other churches as monuments throughout Europe.

The Teresa Teresa Ali Fatim Corella Sanchez de Kibaida Ihomada was born in Avila in 1515.

She was sent to Deir at the age of 16 by her father and eventually established the Discaled.

She died in 1582 at the age of 67.

It was modified in 1622 and made a doctorate in the church in 1970 and is one of two women ever to receive the title.

Once the coffin was reselling, it was transferred across the streets with visitors after the procession.

It is not currently clear for the time when the remains of the saint are displayed, or if there is again, the remains of the saint will be shown to the believers.
