Fred Kerley: US sprinter provisionally suspended for anti-doping ‘whereabouts failures’, says Athletics Integrity Unit | Olympics News

American runner Farid Kerly was temporarily suspended due to “failure to be in place” under anti -doping regulations, according to the AIU.

In response, the 30 -year -old sports lawyers issued a statement via Kerley’s official X account, confirming his intention to the comment challenge.

“Farid Kurly has already reported AIU that he intends to challenge the claim that he violated anti -doping rules related to diseases.”

“He believes a firm belief that one of the alleged alleged tests should be set aside – either because it was not neglected or because the anti -doping employee failed to take reasonable steps to locate his location.”

The statement concluded that Kurly will refrain from further comment “respect for the process” and looks forward to presenting his case in front of the specific hearing committee.

Kurly is a heavy weight of world athletics, winning silver in the 100 -meter race in the Tokyo and Bronze Olympics in Paris 2024. It is also a medal in the World Championship six times.

Soon after AIU’s announcement, Kerley posted a challenge to X: “You can try to break me in the storm, but all you do is give me a better story in the finish line.”

Legal problems

Kurly’s comment comes amid continuous legal issues.

In May, he was charged in Florida, claiming that they would pierce an obstacle to the female who also competed in the Olympic Games.

This incident was followed on January 2 in Miami Beach, where a police officer was accused. According to what was reported, the officers used Taser during the arrest.

His legal team confirms that Kurly is innocent on both charges.
