Fujifilm’s X Half is an $850 digital camera with an analog film aesthetic

Fujifilm has already released one unusual camera this year at GFX100 RF Medium Format Compact, but the latest model may be the most famous yet. Half $ 850 x half a digital camera consisting of 18 megapixels, but it uses half a 1 inch sensor to shoot 3: 4 vertical photos. To drive home, the rear screen has a rear screen dedicated to displaying the 13 -year -old film simulation modes and can only shoot JPEG images, not raw pictures.

Half X naturally uses Fujifilm simulation patterns and grain effect. To really bring you to the mood of the analog movie, you can switch to the new movie camera that limits your view to the optical camera lens, and makes you withdraw the prior frame lever for each new shot and allows you to just see the images by “developing them” through the X Half app. It even produces the layout of the “connection sheet” for 36, 54 or 72 photos.

Another feature is the 2 in 1 images that allows you to combine two images or fixed films in one composition in the camera to get additional artistic possibilities (using ADVANCE movie crane again). This also means that half a half can shoot video and photos, with a vertical or square size (up to 2,160 x 2,160) which looks perfect for social media – especially with the simulation of applied movies. Also, the exudation of nostalgia to the past is the “Seal of History” function that gives you the imprint of dates at the bottom of the images, just like the Kodak movie Kodak.

At the top of the 2.40 -inch LCD 3: 4 rear screen, the x half contains the optical camera lens, not electronic, adding another representative touch (and the accompanying view errors). The camera itself is small enough to slip in the pocket and weighs only 210 grams (7.4 ounces). Other features include a built-in flash, a battery life of 880 huge frames and the SD UHS-I Speed.

Half X may seem to aspire to social media users or anyone looking for an enjoyable party or vacation camera. However, it is charged with considering that you can only get Instax (or a regular movie camera and a lot of movies) much less. Fujifilm definitely seized the Zeitgeist photography before with models such as X100 VI, though, so I will not be surprised if it becomes a great success. The X Half is now on Preormer for $ 850 (in black, silver and silver) with the start of shipping on June 12.
