Second lady Usha Vance will visit Greenland and see its national dogsled race as Trump talks up US takeover

The second lady, Osha Vans, plans a trip to Greenland, an American -rich American ally, which president Donald Trump suggested that the United States take control of it.
Vans will leave on Thursday and return on Saturday, according to her office. Vans and one of its three children will be part of an American delegation that has been appointed to “visit historical sites, get to know the green heritage, and the presence of Avanata Qimussu, the national dog race in Greenland.”
The race features about 37 mushrooms and 444 dogs and offers what Vans described as “a noticeable width of speed, skill and teamwork.” The statement said that Vans and the delegation are “excited to see this huge race and celebrate culture and green unity.”
The media in Greenland and Denmark reported that during her journey this week, Vans will accompany the National Security Adviser at Trump Mike Walz. The White House and the National Security Council immediately did not respond to the requests for comment.
Trump had thought during his first term about buying the largest island in the world, even when Copenhagen, NATO ally, insisted that he was not for sale.
Since his return to the White House, Trump has repeatedly said that the United States will come to control Greenland while insisting that he supports the idea for strategic national security reasons – not with American expansion.
“I think we will get it,” Trump said of Greenland shortly after his second term began on January 20.
During a meeting of the last oval office with NATO Secretary -General Mark Roti, Trump said, “Denmark is very far away” about Greenland, and he wondered whether this country is still entitled to claim the largest island in the world as part of its kingdom.
Trump said, “A boat there fell 200 years ago or something like that. They say they have rights,” Trump said. “I don’t know if this is true. I don’t think it’s so, in fact.”
All five parties in Greenland parliament issued a joint statement last week rejecting Trump’s statements. Denmark has confessed to Greenland’s right to independence at the time of his choice.
In addition to his focus on Greenland, Trump refused to exclude military intervention in Panama to restore the channel of that state, and he said that Canada should be the state 51 in America and suggested that American interests could control the Gaza Strip that the war torn from Israel and its redevelopment as a “Rvira” resort similar.
