The beauty business may be booming, but things are in between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber? He still looks rock solid…and we’re not talking about A$AP. The billionaire beauty moguls are back in the headlines after fans took Hailey’s recent comments as a not-so-subtle dig. And this time Selena decided to speak up.

Selena Gomez is apparently calling it quits

Selena Gomez hopped on Instagram early Saturday morning to respond to what many believe was a suspicious remark from Hailey Bieber. In a recent Wall Street Journal interview, Hailey Bieber described the constant comparisons between Rude Beauty to other brands as “annoying—And although she never mentioned Selena Gomez or Rare Beauty by name, many believe that’s exactly what (and who) she was talking about.

However, sources close to Hailey told TMZ that the comments weren’t aimed at Selena, but were actually about other skincare brands entirely. Either way, TL ran with it…and you all know Selena saw it too.

In a now-deleted post, Selena apparently responded with a message on her Stories:

“Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. It doesn’t affect my life at all. It’s just about importance, not intelligence. Be kind. “All brands inspire me,” she wrote. There is a place for everyone. Hopefully we can all stop,“ Selena added.

Fans wasted no time reaching out to the comments under Hailey Bieber’s WSJ magazine cover post — and let’s just say, it was. Mixed energy. You already know that some people were in full support mode, gassing Mrs. Biebs and reminding her that she Which Girl. But others did not accept this, so they intervened to defend Selena and attacked Hayley for what they saw as a faint shadow.

It appears that the long-supposed tension between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez is still simmering. Fans believe Hailey’s recent interview with the Wall Street Journal was the spark. When asked which Rhode Beauty products are sold at Sephora alongside other brands, Hailey said: “I think there is room for everyoneBut he followed that with:I don’t feel competitive with people I don’t inspire.“
