Senate committee to vote on Dr. Oz’s nomination to run Medicare and Medicaid services

The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to vote later on this afternoon on whether President Donald Trump’s choice to lead the medical care services centers and Medicaid, Dr. Mohamed Oz, will vote for full confirmation in the Senate.
The vote is followed by two sessions by the committee that looked for Oz because of its plans for federal health care programs, his views of miscarriage, the conflict of potential interests in the health care industry and more.
If this is confirmed, Oz will be responsible for about $ 1.5 trillion of Federal Health Care. Medicare, a federal health care program for the elderly between the ages of 65 years or UP, provides coverage of about 65 million Americans, according to the Medical Care Defense Center. Medicaid, which helps people with low income, covers approximately 72 million Americans, according to Medicaid.gov.

The former heart surgeon, who saw his fame through his appearance on Al -Nahar TV and 13 seasons of “The Dr Oz Show”, later moved to politics, as he launched an unsuccessful offer for Pennsylvania’s open seat in 2022.
Oz graduated from Harvard University and obtained medical and commercial certificates from Pennsylvania University.
As a CMS official, OZ will make decisions related to how the government covers the actions and residency in the hospital and medicines within federal health care programs, as well as the payment rates that health care providers receive for their services.

At the same time that Bhaterea and Makari won the approval of the committee, Trump withdrew his candidacy for former Florida Deputy David Wilden to manage the Center for Disease Control, due to fears that he had no support for the Republican Party to clarify the full confirmation.
On Monday, the Trump administration Susan Monarerez, who is currently working as director of the Disease Control Center, is called a new candidate for her.
