The Senate seeks to curb the Trump administration policy towards Ukraine, which fluctuates between support and sudden withdrawal, leaving allies and officials.
After President Donald Trump recently agreed to resume sending weapons to Ukraine, the annual defense policy bill for the Senate will lead to limiting this type of adventure in the executive branch that raised the concerns of the two parties, especially with regard to the Pentagon decisions.
The National Defense Licensing law (NDAA), which was unveiled on Friday after the negotiations of the two parties by the Armed Services Committee in the Senate, includes specific handles on American military cooperation. One of the provisions stipulates that the Minister of Defense cannot stop one -sided military intelligence and target cooperation with Ukraine.
This step follows an episode in March, where the Trump administration suddenly stopped supporting intelligence and arms shipments to Ukraine, while the President’s diplomacy followed the background channel with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Although the freezing was later raised, the accident disturbed the legislators on both sides of the corridor.

NDAA also asserts “again that the US policy is to help Ukraine in maintaining a reliable defense” and enhances the Ukrainian security assistance initiative to $ 500 million.
Bill Paris, Defense Minister Beit Higseth, to reduce the position of the American power in Europe or abandon the role of the United States as the leader of the NATO Supreme Allies without analyzing the influence and issuing the certificate for congress that such changes are in line with American interests.
The new rulings arrive amid a noticeable shift in Trump’s speech, which has become more supportive to Ukraine and more critical to Putin.
Earlier this month, the Pentagon once again stopped delivering the defensive aid previously pledged to Kyiv, citing an internal evaluation of US stockpiles. Reports indicate that this stop may have started without informing the White House.

“This decision was taken to put America’s interests first,” said White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly. Pentagon’s spokesperson Sean Parnell chanted this framework, describing him as a “ability to review” and add “we cannot give weapons to everyone in the world.”
Shortly later, Trump contradicts the temporary suspension through a suggestion that the United States will send Patriot missile objections and additional defense aid to Ukraine. The Pentagon later announced that it would resume shipments.
“We will send more weapons. We have to be able to defend themselves,” Trump said on Monday evening.

Although he spoke with Russian President Voludimir Zelinski and Putin last week, Trump described his discussion with the Russian president as unbelievable.
“We are getting a lot of bulls–they were given by Putin,” Trump told reporters during the cabinet meeting. “It’s so nice all the time, but it turns out it is meaningless.”
Presse on those who allowed to stop in military aid, Trump looked un sure.
“I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?” He said Wednesday. According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump Zellinski told he was not responsible for the decision.
The United States will have to send weapons to Ukraine, Trump says days after the Pentagon stopped
On Thursday, when one of the reporters asked if he had discovered who ordered a stop, Trump replied, “Well, I didn’t think about it … I have, no, I did not go to him.”
In response to a question about what he says, such a main decision can be taken without his knowledge, he insisted, “I will know if there was a decision I made. I will know. I will be the first to know. Actually, I will likely make this – but I haven’t done it yet.”

Foreign Minister Marco Rubio reduced the importance of temporary suspension, describing it as a “limited review” of the specified types of ammunition, which is a common step after sustainable operations in the Middle East and Europe.
“It was logical, especially after an extended association in defending Israel and our special rules,” said Rubio.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Tami Bruce also sought to reassure the allies, saying: “It is clear that the president was very excited and designed with regard to Ukraine’s ability to defend itself.”

The current management of the administration is a flagrant shift earlier this year, when the tensions between Trump and Zelinski reached a boiling point during a controversial oval office meeting.
“You must be grateful. You don’t have cards,” Trump told Zelinski.
