Sens Cruz, Lujan introduce bill to streamline permits for international bridges, ports of entry

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, presented legislation amending the 1972 international bridge law, which would accelerate the presidential permit of all international bridges and land ports to enter.
The draft law of the two parties from Cruz and the Senator Bin Ray Logan, Denmorethy, will expand the legislation that Cruz had previously written, and was transferred to the law of simplifying international bridges in Eagle Bass, Larado and Bruntzville.
The new draft law will simplify all permits for international bridges and entry ports to Mexico and Canada.

Cruz said in a press statement: “This bill depends on our success and expand our success in securing the presidential permits for four major international bridge projects in South Texas by simplifying the process of approving all future international bridges along the border in Texas -Mexico.”
Cruz strongly urged his colleagues “to pass this bill so that it can be sent to the president to sign.”

Logan said in a press statement that he is proud to provide legislation from the two parties that would provide real investments to New Mexico.
Logan said: “International entry and bridges ports are vital for the economic success of our border societies, and to support trade, business and tourism,” Logan said. “However, the new border crossings are often held through the process of presidential permits.”
Dr. Victor Treviano, the mayor of the city of Larido, thanked both Senator for developing this draft law together, which strengthens the northern and southern borders.

“This draft law represents a decisive step towards updating the development and expansion of cross-border infrastructure by bringing the efficiency that affects its need and the possibility of predicting the process of presidential permits-a basic reform of societies such as Larido, which is still on the front lines of international trade as one outlet to enter the United States,” Trevino said in a news statement.
Trevino also urged congress to pass this bill so that President Donald Trump could sign it.
