Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga highlights

Matches in the Spanish League, the Italian League, the German League and the French League were held in France on Sunday.

Among the participating teams, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart were hoping to remain in the race behind German leader Bayern Munich.

Roma were also hoping to overcome beleaguered Juventus and rise to the level of Italian leaders and defending champions Napoli.

Osasuna vs Celta Vigo: winner from turnover

Celta Vigo is level on points with Osasuna and moves one point above the relegation zone with a 3-2 win away from home.

Ferran Gutgla put Celta ahead from the edge of the penalty area but Ante Budimir scored a penalty and headed in a corner kick to put the hosts 2-1 ahead at the end of the first half.

Gutgla conceded a corner kick to equalize before Budimir’s penalty hit the crossbar. Pablo Duran scored the winning goal three minutes before the end after shooting the ball over goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.

Rayo Vallecano vs Alaves: Alemao’s joy

Brazilian striker Alemao scored the only goal of the match with a header in the 91st minute, raising Rayo Vallecano to seventh place, achieving its fourth victory this season.

In a match full of chances, substitute Issy Palazon hit the post during the second half before Alemao rebounded from Pep Chavarria’s cross.

β€œI wanted this moment so much and it’s here,” Alemao said after his first league goal. “It feels incredible.”

Mallorca vs Levante: one point each

Pablo Maffeo curled in from outside the penalty area 11 minutes from time to earn Mallorca a 1-1 draw at home to Levante, who took the lead when Eta Iong raced into the box to score the opening goal in the 22nd minute.

Jose Luis Morales could have given Levante the win in stoppage time of the second half, but Leo Roman made a brilliant save from a close range shot.

Levante has not lost in four matches away from home and joins Mallorca in being above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Lazio vs Juventus: Winner of the main bags

Toma Pesek took advantage of a poor back pass from Jonathan David to score a ninth-minute winner as Lazio beat Juventus 1-0 to move up to 10th place, one point behind their rivals.

Juventus have now lost their last three games in all competitions, are winless in eight, and have failed to score in more than six-and-a-half hours of football, increasing the pressure on coach Igor Tudor.

“We get to the penalty area and then we don’t put the ball in the net,” Tudor told DAZN Italia via Gianluca Di Marzio.

β€œWe also tell ourselves not to make mistakes, but there is always a mistake and we lose games. We feel bad, but we have to stick together.

β€œI don’t care about my future. I have to be clear-headed and aware of the present.”

Sassuolo vs Roma: Dybala is decisive

Paulo Dybala scored his first goal in the Italian League this season in the 16th minute, as Roma shared the lead with the defending champions.

Dybala scored the lead after passing a pass to Brian Cristante, who fired a shot that was blocked by goalkeeper Arjanit Muric.

Roma have won all four of their away matches this season and ended a two-game losing streak in all competitions with a win, leaving Sassuolo in 13th place.

Torino vs. Genoa: Maripan strikes late

Guillermo Maripan’s goal in the 90th minute in the first half gave 12th-placed Torino a 2-1 win over Genoa, bottom of the standings.

Poor defense contributed to scoring the first two goals, as Morten Thorsby scored from close range in the eighth minute for the visitors.

Stefano Sabelli’s own goal in the 63rd minute started the comeback. Genoa is two points away from safety.

Verona vs Cagliari: Felice’s return

Verona, ranked fourth from the bottom, is still seeking its first win this season after taking a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Cagliari, ranked 14th.

Roberto Gagliardini headed the hosts ahead and Suat Serdar hit the crossbar for Cagliari before Gift Orban scored the second goal as part of a counterattack in the 59th minute.

Riyad Al-Idrissi halved the deficit 13 minutes before the end, then Mattia Felici scored a wonderful equalizer in the 92nd minute after a strong campaign.

Fiorentina vs Bologna: Kane’s heroic penalty kick

Fiorentina did not achieve any victory while it was in the relegation zone, but it saved a point from penalty kicks in the second half through Albert Gudmundsson and in the 94th minute by Moise Kean to draw 2-2 with Bologna.

A wonderful shot from Santiago Castro gave Bologna the lead in the first half, then Nicolo Cambiaggi added the second goal from close range seven minutes after the start of the second half for the visiting team, who sent off Emil Holm for receiving a second yellow card seven minutes before the end of the match.

The team, ranked fifth in the Italian League, has not lost in six matches.

German league results today

Bayer Leverkusen vs Freiburg: Victory for the hosts

Fifth-placed Leverkusen is four points ahead of sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and seven points behind Bayern after a 2-0 win over 11th-placed Freiburg and center back Philipp Lienhart was sent off for a second yellow card in the 75th minute.

Ernest Boko scored with a wonderful goal in the 22nd minute from long range, and Edmund Tapsoba added the second goal with a header after Alex Garcia’s cross in the 52nd minute.

Leverkusen are now unbeaten in seven domestic matches and have won their last three, recovering from a 7-2 defeat at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Stuttgart vs Mainz: UNDF returns

Stuttgart is one point ahead of Leverkusen in third place after achieving its fifth consecutive victory in the league with a 2-1 victory over Mainz, which is in 16th place.

Nadeem Amiri gave Mainz confidence to avoid a fourth successive Premier League defeat by converting a 41st-minute penalty, but Chris Fuhrich’s stunning goal during first-half extra time restored parity.

In his first game since August after injury, former Brighton & Hove Albion striker Deniz Undav collected goalkeeper Alexander Nubel’s pass and scored the winner in the 80th minute.

French league results today

Lille vs Metz: LOSC journey

Felix Correa scored two goals in each half, as the 6-1 victory over Metz led them to place Lille three points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain in fifth place.

Hamza Ijamani, Romain Peraud, Benjamin Andre and Haakon Haraldsson also scored, and Ebou Sane also scored in the 95th minute for the visitors.

Winless Metz are the only team without at least two wins in Ligue 1 this season and are six points from safety with a significant goal deficit.

Lyon vs. Strasbourg: Moreira’s magic

Fourth-placed Lyon is one point ahead of Lille after coming from behind to win 2-1 over seventh-placed Strasbourg.

JoaquΓ­n Panicelli gave the visitors the lead in the 25th minute but an own goal by Ismael Doucoure equalized six minutes later.

Doucoure received a direct red card for a challenge before Afonso Moreira scored the decisive goal in the 91st minute.

Angers vs Lorient: The hosts end the drought

Angers is two points away from the relegation zone after ending a run of seven matches without a win with a 2-0 win over Lorient.

Prosper Pitre opened the scoring in the 16th minute, then Sidi Cherif settled the score in the 59th minute, keeping Lorient at one point from five away matches this season.

Les Merlus dominated possession and made 13 of the 20 attempts between the two teams but are one point above the bottom two.

Auxerre vs Le Havre: TourΓ© takes the points

Only Metz has a worse record than Auxerre’s total of six defeats after the second-placed side lost 1-0 to Le Havre, who they lead by two points.

Abdoulaye Toure’s winning goal in the 47th minute gave the visitors their second win this season and their first away from home.

Le Havre also ended their five-match wait for a win as Le Club Doyne recovered from a 6-2 defeat to Marseille eight days ago.

Rennes vs Nice: Diop and Klaus goal

Nice achieved two consecutive victories in the league and did not lose in four matches in the first division after a 2-1 victory over Rennes, which is in tenth place.

Sofiane Diop and Jonathan Klaus gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half before 19-year-old Moroccan defender Abdelhamid Ait Boudelal responded.

While Nice sit eighth, Rennes’ unbeaten run of six games – including five draws – has ended despite Habib Peay’s side making eight of their 11 attempts.
