Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo Tent Review: An Ultralight Summer Shelter

Find the right A tent for the back trip is always difficult. It should balance the size and weight of the temples against living and its quality of wind and rain. I have always made a mistake on a strong tent due to any weight -related fears, which is why I love Hilberg Akto, but I don’t always do Need Acto.

There is a short season in my neck of the summer forest, when the storms are less likely, and the temporary does not decrease to the 1960s. This means, I love Akto, but I also think Six Moon Design Solo is excellent on summer trips when you shed light on intense storms.

This does not mean that the single moon will not keep you dry. It will. Nylon silicone, or Silnylon, is a waterproof, although you will either need to close it yourself with some seam grip, or do the six moon designs for you before shipping, which costs $ 35. My test tent reached a seam, but the elderly is enough to remember when I had to seize almost every tent, I did so in enough times to say it is not difficult to choose.

The single moon is one wall, one polar tent aimed at placing it with the trips column. This makes a very small and light tent, but also two potential defects: structural integrity and condensation. More about those in a moment. Once it is placed, the single moon provides a 26 square feet living space, a peak peak peak, and the vestibule provides 8.5 square feet of the additional gear storage. In general, I found that the single moon would be wide for one person with a gear. The rear wall expands slightly, giving you a place for storage often elements that you do not need to push it to the top of the tent wall.

Silnylon and Mesh Dech 20D walls feel like anything you find in this weight, unless you want to go with the Cuben Fiber/Dyneema tent, but in my opinion, the high price of Cuben puts it in a different category. The single moon floor is more than 40 cities (40D), and it has a bathtub to help ensure that the water does not enter. The rear part of the lunar is a 6 -inch part between the Earth and the main wall that helps in ventilation.

Any one pole tent will hit the wind, regardless of the number of Guyline points it offers. I found that the single moon presses a good deal when it was placed in the strong winds on the open beaches of Superior Lake. It is recognized that it was not a great position in the camp from the point of view of shelter, and it is not the one I will choose if I did not test the wind resistance of a tent. But whoever convinces me that the single moon needs either the trips column or a tent column heavier than the surf the superconductor loader presented (I have done a good part of my test while filling bicycles until I had no trips columns).
