Six more states are restricting junk food from SNAP public food assistance

In winning America’s healthy (maha), six other states have exemptions, allowing them to ban soda, sweets and other unwanted foods from high sugar through the federal, additional nutrition assistance program, but it works in the country, known as Snap.
The exemptions, which adjusted the legal definition of the food qualified food under Snap, were granted to the West Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Louisiana, Akllahoma and Texas. New restrictions on what can be and what cannot be purchased will enter into force in 2026.
The new six concessions bring the number of countries that sought to restrict the sudden purchases of unwanted foods to 12. Other states that received exemptions from the Trump administration earlier this year were Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Arkansas, Edaho and Utah.

On average, 42 million Americans with low -income Americans receive food stamps every month, including a child out of five American children under 17 years old, according to a report issued by the Trump administration issued earlier this year.

“It is amazing to see that many countries are taking action at this critical moment in our nation’s history and doing something to start addressing chronic health problems,” said Rollins. “president Trump has changed the current situation, and the entire cabinet takes measures to make America healthy again.
Of the 12 states that have been given SNAP exemptions so far, they will all be limited to using sudden funds to buy sugary drinks, including soda, while at least eight states have shown plans to ban sudden money to buy candy. Some states, such as Florida, Louisiana and Nebraska, will explicitly prohibit energy drinks, while others, such as Arkansas, have pointed to drinks of less than 50 % of natural juice.
ABC News Medical Daryn Sutton has argued that the step, although it was pushed as an effort to improve health results, lacks evidence.

Soton noted that the American food guidelines recommend that men do not have more than 35 grams of sugar per day, while women are required to limit them to 25 grams per day.
