Social media star says NYC Jews concerned after Mamdani primary victory

Fears of anti -Semitism continue to grow in New York City, where some residents say they have started to ask whether the largest city in the country is a safe place for them. One of the stars of social media says that Zahran’s victory in the preliminary elections of the democratic town is only escalating those concerns in the Jewish community.
“We are very afraid,” said Bin Sofifer, who is influential on social media and businessman. “I never thought that I would need to leave because I was afraid to be a public Jewish here.”
Sofifer, who lived in New York City throughout his life, said he was considering moving in high anti -Semitism in the region. He pointed out that his primary interest now is Zahran Mamdani, who is likely to become the next mayor of the city.
Mamdani, a member of the 33 -year -old State Association from Queens, is a self -described socialist who overcame the former state governor Andrew Como in the preliminary elections of the Democratic town. Since his annoyance with his election, Mamdani has faced pressure to condemn the phrase “uprising of the uprising”, which is a widely understood slogan that carries anti -Jewish tones.

He went on to argue that the mayor should not have the authority of the police discourse. Soffer says this type of ambiguity sends a dangerous message amid anti -Jews tensions.
