Trump administration revokes Petro’s visa over alleged incendiary actions

The Trump administration announced late on Friday that it is canceling the visa of the Colombian president Gustavo Petro due to the alleged “reckless and incendiary measures” in New York City.
“Earlier today, the President of Colombian Petrogustavo stood on New York City Street and urged American soldiers to disobey orders and incite violence,” read a post on the expense of the US State Department X. “We will cancel the Petro visa because of its reckless and incendiary actions.”
Fox News Digital communicated with the Colombian embassy, but it has not heard before publishing.

The cancellation of the visa comes in the aftermath of the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City this week.
Videos, which revolve online, show the Colombian president, who addresses a crowd gathered in a demonstration against Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in New York City on Friday to address the association.

In a fiery speech earlier this week, Petro called for a criminal investigation against President Donald Trump and other administration officials due to deadly strikes on boats in the Caribbean Sea region, which the White House said was carrying drugs.

Petro created the attacks, describing them as a “tyranny”, while also accused Trump of criminalizing poverty and immigration.

Petro, the first former left -wing Marxist leader in Colombia, had a rocky relationship with Trump since the opening.
In January, Trump threatened to impose a 50 % tariff on all imports from the country of Latin America if the military aircraft full of corporations did not accept the deported as part of Trump’s deportation. Petro threatened revenge on the customs tariff, but later retreated and agreed to lift its ban on flights.
In April, Petro claimed that the Trump administration had canceled his travel visa to the United States during the cabinet meeting that month, Petro said he could not attend meetings with international organizations in Washington, DC, because they “took my visa.”
