First on the fox: The Foreign Ministry says it is quickly distributing tens of thousands of tons of food aid around the world, as it is due to reports that the United States was preparing for a stone of hundreds of tons of supplies stored before it was delivered.

According to joint numbers with Fox News Digital, the agency currently has 59,305 metric tons of regular food commodities stored in warehouses throughout the United States and abroad.

“We have already programmed all the food that ends before October 2026,” said a senior Foreign Ministry official. “The idea that we have a lot of expired foods that we leave is wrong is wrong.”

The Foreign Ministry says it has agreed to 44422 metric tons of food that will be transferred or reprogrammed through partnerships with the World Food Program (WFP), Catholic Relief services, Mercy Corps, and cultivation of new borders in agriculture (CNFA). This includes 30,000 tons of food supplies with short -term, which is already programmed for delivery to crisis areas such as Syria, Bangladesh and Sudan.

An additional 12,000 tons of final re -programming aid is awaiting a delay that attributes the administration to a temporary contract from the administration and budget office (OMB) on Chapter Two statues – officials say it has been resolved now.

The official said: “To the extent that there is a delay causing operational problems, it is not from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.” “All the food that ends in the next 16 months is calculated.”

The official rejected the recent media coverage, on the pretext that focusing on a limited amount of food near the expiration distorting the largest image. “The very small part – less than 1 % of the USA’s food inventories – was covered by the main media is the exception that distracts its attention from a wide and very organized process that we directed to ensure that all food is calculated in an effective and strategic way.”

The general defense comes after several outlets stated that the Trump administration ordered the burning of approximately 500 metric tons of emergency food stored in Dubai as it approached the expiration of the validity.

According to Reuters, while 622 tons were successfully re -directed to countries that include Syria, Bangladesh and Myanmar, 496 tons were destroyed – at a value of $ 793,000 – with the costs of getting rid of an additional $ 100,000.

The accident occurred as part of a wider restructuring of the US foreign aid policy. In early July, the Trump administration officially replaced the United States Agency for International Development, as it was transferred to development and humanitarian programs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This shift was accompanied by efforts to cancel billions of dollars in foreign assistance.

The temporary suspension of aid in January prompted the former Secretary -General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to warn that up to $ 500 million of food aid was at risk of expiration. However, the administration says help has now returned online under a restructuring model.

With the recycling of the US International Development Agency, the Foreign Ministry is now responsible for managing widespread aid programs, under pressure. Located legislators and relief groups are closely monitoring if the newly programmed food aid is up to the intended beneficiaries.

Democrats seized the burn reports during the congress hearing this week, accusing the Trump administration of managing its back to meet the urgent humanitarian needs. Reports were first published by the Atlantic Ocean.

Earlier this month, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio determined the administration’s vision for external assistance, saying that he abandons what he called the “charitable model” in favor of empowering growth and self -reliance in developing countries.

Rubio wrote: “We will prefer those countries that have shown both the ability and the desire to help themselves, and will target our resources to areas that can have a double impact and motivation of the solid private sector – including American companies – and global investment.”

The new approach is designed to emphasize trade and investment on direct aid, and the United States is to combat the growing global impact in China.
