Stunning Earth Day time-lapse captures aurora glow

Earth Day, which was marked annually on April 22, is primarily to inspire the world’s population to work together to protect our planet from environmental harm. But it is also an opportunity to celebrate everything that is unique about this unique and wonderful “blue marble”. Take into account, take a moment to lose yourself in this group of amazing Earth images, all of which were filmed from space.
1. Guinea Bissau, West Africa
This image was taken by European astronauts Thomas Pescket during a residence on the International Space Station (ISS) about 250 miles above Earth, this image shows the Guinea -Bissau coast in West Africa. NASA/ESA/Thomas Pesquet
2. Grand Erg Oriental, Algeria
Here we see the border between the main sand dunes field and dark hills along the border between Algeria and Libya, as it appears from ISS. “This landscape is among the most dry parts in the desert desert. For the scale, the dune margin in this image is slightly more than 62 miles (100 km),” says NASA. NASA/Earth Land/Earth Observatory
3. The Katar Pearl
Although most shots in this group show natural features, this attractive image shows a region that has been dramatically transformed by humans. It is taken from ISS, and it appears part of the Doha, the capital of Qatar in the Middle East, as well as the pearl of the country, which is an island built in the water. NASA/Earth Observatory
4. Australia
Another impressive image taken by Pesquet, this region shows the Australia region, although the exact location is not specified. “I never went to Australia, but the country is a permanent resource for the art of the Earth of three stars,” the French space pioneer said of the photo, adding: “It is difficult to judge from space if the landscape will be amazing closely, but I definitely want to go and check that!” NASA/ESA/Thomas Pesquet
5. The Himalayas Mountains
Nassa Scott Kelly astronaut took a lot of amazing Earth photos during multiple tasks on the space station. This one shows a frozen lake in the Himalayas. NASA/Scott Kelly
6. Yukon Delta, Alaska
This explains the Delta Yukon in the US state of Alaska, which was seized during the mission of Copernicus Centinel 2 of the European Space Agency. The Earth Observatory says: “The sandy color of these channels and coastal water shows the amount of deposits that the river carries to the sea at this time of the year.” Nassa
7. Mount Fuji, Japan
A counterpart in Caldera of the Japanese Mount Fuji, the tallest mountain in the country at an altitude of 12389 feet (3776 meters). It is taken from ISS. NASA/Earth Observatory
8. Namib Desert, South Africa
This image shows the Roter Kamm hole (“Red Crest/Ridge” in German), a feature about 430 feet (130 meters) and a diameter of 1.5 miles (2.5 km). The hole, visible near the center of the image, is believed to have been created by a car the size of the car that was criticized to the ground about 5 million years ago. Nassa
9. Cordelera Blanca Mountain, Peru
The Kurdra Planca mountain range in Peruvian in the morning of a fogy winter, as it appears from ISS. The image includes Huascarán, the longest mountain in Peru, which rises 22,204 feet (6768 meters) above sea level. Nassa
10. The Great island of Xcom, the Bahamas islands
Publined art is more similar to the image of the Earth, this amazing image shows a small island depression in the Bahamas and the tidal channels that flow between them. The Earth Observatory describes this feature as “one of the most known points on this planet” for the astronauts staring at Earth. NASA/Earth Observatory/Scott Kelly
11. Namib Desert, South Africa
Another image displays the Namib Desert, this image that Korea Compass -2 satellite seized. The Ramli Sea shows the Blue and White Dry River bed of soutochis. Esa/kari
12. Florida
Night lights in Florida, including part of the Florida keys at the bottom of the right of the image. It is taken from ISS, the image also shows the curvature of the ground. Nassa
13. Lake Van, Türkiye
NASA Porter Kate Robbins’ satellite snapshot of the space station. It shows Lake Türkiye, the largest soda, or alkaline, a lake on the ground. While some parts of the lake are shallow, the depth of other parts can reach 1467 feet (450 meters). The Earth Observatory says: “Lake water levels have changed, hundreds of meters over the past 600,000 years due to climate change, volcanic eruptions and tectonic activity,” the Earth Observatory says. 14. Aurora
Beautiful Ura, which was seized by NASA Sin Kimbero Space Pioneer during the ISS accommodation. NASA/Shin Kimbero
15. Yemen
Pre -jam rocks (more than 540 million years) and wide dunes in the Yemeni interior, captured by ISS. NASA/Earthfish
16. Bahamas
The seas near the Bahamas, this image was taken by Kimbero from the space station. NASA/Shin Kimbero
17.
This wonderful image shows a high dome where the open rocks are in the middle of “Bullseye” older than those that are formed in the external rings. The feature in the image is 28 miles (45 km) through it and consists of fiery and sedimentary rocks. NASA/Earth Observatory
18. The sea and the cloud
The land seen from space, with oceans and clouds fills the frame. Kelly, who took the image, entitled: “Out of the Blue Color”. NASA/Scott Kelly
19, Spain
Another amazing snapshot of Kelly, which was taken during one of his visits to the space station. This one is characterized by colored salt basins in Spain. NASA/Scott Kelly
20. Sharq El Owainat, Egypt
The desert desert crop circles fill the frame in this individual shot. The fields were created by a spray system that revolves around a central point. He was arrested by an astronaut on ISS. NASA/Earth Observatory
21. Northwest of the Atlantic Ocean
This displayed image of sunlight on the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, which was taken by a high -resolution external camera (EHDC) on ISS, is heading to the sun’s rays while the station passed over the northwestern Atlantic Ocean, about 300 miles (500 km) off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. “Many small clouds cover the front of the image. Every cloud is visible (due to water drops) an escalating column of air,” says the Earth Observatory. NASA/Earth Observatory
22. The Nile River, Egypt
It was taken by the ISS astronaut while the station passed over Egypt, this image shows a heart -shaped basin that limits the Nile and Western Sahara. The faiyum oasis, as is well known, is more than 450 square miles (1200 square kilometers) and has been formed from the old lake of Lake Miiris. NASA/Earth Observatory
23. Shanghai at night
The Chinese capital of Shanghai at night, which Kelly seized. The Huangpu River is clearly visible, and if you look closely, you may be able to discover the iconic oriental pearl tower in the city. NASA/Scott Kelly
24. Earth
The Earth, as we saw from the moon, was in a picture taken during the historic APOLLO 11 mission that placed the first human beings on the surface of the moon in 1969. NASA
