Tamil Nadu – ‘Don’t know where these numbers are from…’: FM Nirmala Sitharaman hits back at claims that Tamil Nadu gets little

At an event in Chennai, Finance Minister Nermalla Setharmanan has taken a face-to-face-to-face-to-Nadu face more than returning.

She pointed to a repeated claim: “We are the ones who contribute more, and what do you give us in return?” Some even say, “You didn’t even give us 7 Paise from every dollar 1.”

“I don’t know where these numbers come from. Where do they get these accounts?” He asked Sitharaman, before walking on the audience through solid data, using incentive schemes associated with the production of the center as an interview point. “About 25 % of PLI beneficiaries are located here. Electronic manufacturing companies – all of whom get PLI money.”

This was followed by a detailed refute – a list of plans, allocations, and the developments of the group supported by the center in Tamil Nadu.

“So where does this money come from?” It continued. “When someone says,” We give a lot, what do you give us? ” – This entire argument is defective.”

Sitharaman did not stop at that. “I do not even understand how they reach these accounts. And if I have put them somewhat frankly – there are people here from Kevator, Chennai – all of them here. Is it only neglected as Kevatur and Cinai who pay taxes? What about people from Arial?

“If these two cities say,” We are paying, so we must return us, “what should a person say in Kovilbati?” Do not spend on Bisa Ali? “There is no such in India.”

“For this reason, I say – to those who argue in a misleading and loving way – I read this list for some reason. Because only when we add all this and its account objectively, can we see what Tamil Nadu really receives.”

Among the main projects that the Federation Minister Ashwini Fishnaw announced the two main e -manufacturing groups – one in Gujarat and the other in Tamil Nadu. “The central has allocated 1100 rupees through the budget for this … it comes to Tamil Nadu.”

It is expected that the next facilities will be in Manalor and and Tila.

She also pointed to the dominance of Tamil Nadu in the PLI Auto component scheme – “of 82 of the applicants accredited with 257 manufacturing units throughout India under this PLI scheme, 46 in Tamil Nadu. They all get PLI support.”

“Among the four manufacturing units that are prepared under the PLI Plan for the Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC), one of them is in Tamil Nadu. All of these companies are benefiting from PLI-and they are all in Tamil Nadu.”
