Tamil Nadu – ‘Don’t know where these numbers are from…’: FM Nirmala Sitharaman hits back at claims that Tamil Nadu gets little

She also pointed to the dominance of Tamil Nadu in the PLI Auto component scheme – “of 82 of the applicants accredited with 257 manufacturing units throughout India under this PLI scheme, 46 in Tamil Nadu. They all get PLI support.”

“Among the four manufacturing units that are prepared under the PLI Plan for the Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC), one of them is in Tamil Nadu. All of these companies are benefiting from PLI-and they are all in Tamil Nadu.”
