Texas-based Buc-ee’s convenience chain sues owner of Missouri Barc-ee’s

The BUC-Ee is located in Springfield, Missouri, about 17 miles from the Barc-Ee address. BUC-Ee’s Springfield was opened in December 2023, according to the city’s website.
“BUC-Ee’s has invested heavily in innovation throughout the company to provide the best products and experience for our customers,” Bok E said in a statement to Fox Business. “BUC-Ee’s will not be a spectator of lethargy while others violate the intellectual property rights that BUC-Ee has worked hard to develop.”

In January, BUC-Ee filed a lawsuit against Texas Gas Super Fuels, on the allegations of copyright violation, claiming that the Super Fuels logo is very similar to the BUC-Ee logo.
BUC-Ee has more than 50 stores in Missouri, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Colorado, the United States.
