Texas lawmakers consider bipartisan bill that seeks to clarify exceptions to state’s abortion restrictions

Texas lawmakers are studying a draft law from the two parties to clarify the prohibition of abortion in the state, as many doctors expressed their concerns that the law is not clear about when they may intervene to protect the mother’s life without committing a crime.

The state has a prohibition of almost complete abortion, but doctors, who use a reasonable medical judgment, are allowed to take action in cases where a pregnant woman faces a life -threatening physical condition or a great weakness in the main physical function.

Now, the state legislative council seeks to pass a procedure to clarify the narrowness of this exception, which gives doctors more clearly about when they can interfere in situations where complications of pregnancy are present.

The Bill of the parliament’s Law 44 and the Senate Bale 31, each of which were presented in their rooms, is identical to the hearing session of the Public Health Committee in Texas on Monday regarding the copy in the lower room.

“This is not a six -week -old person who leads to family planning because they do not want their child,” said Jennifer Adman, Executive Director of Catholics.

“This is a woman who wants her child in 20 weeks and has a medical emergency where she lost her child,” she followed. “Even if he is not completely dead, her child is in the act of death and the only way she can live in parents that her other children are accepting that death and protecting her life, and this is what the bill seeks to achieve.”

Representative Charlie Green, who composed the parliament’s copy, said that the legislation, which is also called the life of the mother in both wrapped, combined the main pro -life, doctors, hospitals, Republicans and Democrats.

Green said, “We know that women’s bodies were terrible, because doctors and hospitals are afraid to provide abortion that can save their bodies. According to Fox 4. This is because some language in our current law is not clear to doctors and hospitals.”

The absence of exceptions under the abortion in Texas pushed a lawsuit filed by 20 women, according to Fox 4, despite its rejection by the state’s Supreme Court. The court also called on the Texas Medical Council to provide clarity for doctors when allowing abortion under the state law.

The Medical Council said that its job is not to clarify the law, and send the case to the legislators, according to the perpetrator.

Some of those who witnessed their concerns have expressed that the legislation would allow the vulnerability to prohibit abortion.

On the other hand, some plaintiffs in the lawsuit argue that the bill does not go far enough because it does not take into account the deadly abnormalities of the fetus.

Sarah Harrison said she was pregnant with twins when one of them was suffering from a fatal condition, according to Fox 4.

“What if you are pregnant with twins again and I have to leave again? The shock is real. It’s real. It’s intense. Of course, I feel fear of pregnancy in this case,” she said.

“This draft law does not include homosexuality. It does not include rape. But it includes an approach from the two parties to try to address challenges,” said MP Ann Johnson, a democratic.

“I heard, comrades, do not get sick enough. This is the bill that does something important saying that you do not delay the treatment. This bill is trying to treat this delay in a timely manner,” I continued.

The legislation appears to have sufficient support for approval.
