‘The answer to job creation…’: Amitabh Kant on the sector with the potential to add ‘millions of jobs’

The percentage of working population (WPR) in CWS for rural areas was 53.3 percent for people between the ages of 15 years and over in June 2025. In urban areas, WPR was 46.8 percent, with a total WPR at the national level registered at 51.2 percent, a decrease of 51.7 percent in May 2025.

For females between the ages of 15 years and over, WPR was 33.6 percent in rural areas and 22.9 percent in urban areas during June 2025. WPR aesthetics at the wild level reached 30.2 percent for the same age group.
