The Download: testing new AI agent Manus, and Waabi’s virtual robotruck ambitions

This is today’s edition of the downloadand Our newsletter on weeks that provide a daily dose of what is happening in the world of technology.

Everyone in artificial intelligence talks about Manus. We put it in the test.

Since the launch of the Manus General AI agent last week, it has spread online like the wilderness. And not only in China, where it was developed by the starting starting butterfly impact in Wuhan. It made his way to the global conversation, and some are even called “The Second Deepseek”.

This artificial paper makes hydrocarbons of carbon dioxide

For many years, researchers have been working to create devices that could mimic optical representation – the process by which plants used sunlight and carbon dioxide to make their fuel. These artificial leaves use sunlight to separate water in oxygen and hydrogen, which can then be used to supply cars or generate electricity. A research team from Cambridge University has now aimed to create more intense fuel.

The ethylene and ethnic system produces, proving that artificial leaves can create hydrocarbons. Development can provide a cheaper and cleaner method for making fuel, chemicals and plastic – with the ultimate goal of creating fuel that does not leave a harmful carbon imprint after burning them.
