Every week, fraud created by artificial intelligence is the travel of millions of general benefits, disaster relief funds and unemployment programs. Crime networks are already used Deepfakes, artificial identities, and large language models for outdated fraud defenses, including one -layer tools easily such as face recognition, and win.

We saw a glimpse of this during the epidemic, when the fraud rings took advantage of the state’s systems to steal hundreds of billions in the advantages of unemployment. In fact, in one day using artificial intelligence, one fraud can submit tens of thousands of fake claims across multiple cases, most of which will be processed automatically unless a mark is placed.

We have reached a turning point. As artificial intelligence continues to develop, the size and development of these attacks will increase. Just as the Moore law expected that the computing power will double every two years, we now live through a new type of Si growth. I think we may soon get to know a principle similar to Amnesty International, which I call “ALTMAN”: every 180 days, the possibilities of artificial intelligence.

If we do not update our defenses at the same frequency of technological developments, we will be permanently superior.

What we need is more intelligent tools and infrastructure, not more bureaucracy.

This means applying an advanced identity, not just facial tests or passwords. This means the use of data in actual time, behavioral analyzes, and cross -ite jurisdiction tools that can mark abnormal cases before money comes out of the door. This also means reviving what has already succeeded: tools such as national accuracy clearing, which has placed a sign of billions of dollars in the demands of repeated advantages across the state lines before closing them.

Artificial intelligence is a double strength, but its weapon can be easily easily used for protection. Currently, criminals use better than we are. Until this changes, our most vulnerable systems and the people who depend on them will remain.
