Fox News Digital has learned that the Trump Administration Environmental Protection Agency weighs a plan to reduce the green energy program dating back to the Biden era with millions of dollars that focus on installing solar panels on residential properties.
The Environmental Protection Agency is considering sending messages to dozens of non -profit organizations and state groups that have received federal scholarships under the “Solar for All” program to the Biden administration to inform them of grants, the New York Times reported earlier on Tuesday. Solar for All Program is a $ 7 billion initiative launched in 2024 to provide residential solar energy to “900,000 low -income families and deprived” throughout the country.
Fox News Digital has learned that the Environmental Protection Agency has not made a final decision on grants from Tuesday noon.
A spokesman for the Environmental Protection Agency told Fox Digital Tuesday when asked about the report to cancel the grants.

The Biden Administration announced in April 2024 that 60 non -profit organizations and government groups worldwide will receive $ 7 billion of grants for the installation of solar energy, which the administration leaders expect to lead to more than 350 million dollars in saving annually on electrical bills for medium and low families. It is not clear how much money has already been spent of $ 7 billion.
The program was funded by the Act of Inflation, and was described by the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, President Joe Biden Michael Reagan and John Budista, Biden Adviser for International Climate Policy, as a victory over low -income homes in need of cheaper electrical bills.
“Solar energy is the cheapest forms of electricity – and one of the best ways to reduce energy costs for American families,” Budista said in a press release at that time.. “Today’s declaration of solar energy will mean all prizes that low -income societies, not just wonderful societies, will feel the advantages of saving solar energy thanks to this investment.”

Biden put green energy initiatives as a top priority throughout his presidency. In the days of his administration, for example, he became the first American president to sit to visit the Amazon rain forests to promote his green heritage before the departure office continued, and he also announced during the September 2024 climate summit that he and the president who was then escalating Kamala Harris focused “on a regular policy of growth” although he “could not be done.”

The Act of Inflation Law included a handful of green energy projects, such as $ 350 million in grants aimed at reducing “greenhouse gas emissions embodied in building materials and products”, and Democrats pledged that it would reduce carbon emissions by 40 % by 2030.

In the past, the Environmental Protection Agency has taken federal grants dating back to the Biden-related era, including canceling $ 20 billion of grants under the law to reduce inflation-which led to a continuous court battle. The director of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin said in March that the $ 20 billion in the United States was “suspended in an external financial institution in a deliberate attempt to reduce government control, and reach your money through only eight, politically linked, unqualified, and in some cases, the comprehensive brand.”

The Environmental Protection Agency is considered to end the solar grants after the Trump administration announced that the Ocean Energy Management Office was eliminating the development of the new marine winds at an altitude of 3.5 million acres worldwide at the end of July, and the winds and solar energy called “a scourge over our country”, with the addition of “smart countries that do not use them.”
