Tracker EP Addresses the Chance of More Cast Changes After Multiple Exits

Ahead of the midseason finale on Sunday, December 14, executive producer Elwood Reed Weigh in on the changes on screen.

“The only rule I really have on the show is that every week Colter will come to a new place and there’s going to be a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all up for grabs,” Reid joked. “Meeting these people [local] Weird characters are something we’ll be trying to do more of as the season goes on. Only Coulter comes in and interacts with the other characters. It’s fun to see Justin flexing those muscles with really good cast members.

Ahead of the third season, Reed defended the decision to change the third season.

“Justin has to carry a lot of the exposition. So I don’t want the other characters on the show to just be a friend’s phone where when he’s in trouble, he just picks up the phone. The challenge in Season 3 was how do we build an actual good story out of [it]“Red joked.

He continued: “It’s just building story lines. The challenge we set ourselves this season was to build the world of these people a little bit.
