The European Commission seeks to create the purchase of collective weapons for the entire mass, while it may represent a major transfer of power to Brussels.

Ursula von der Lin, CEO of the European Union, said on Tuesday that the bloc will establish a “European military sales mechanism” – a strategic reserve for European weapons that capitals can buy in order to re -fill its stocks.

This initiative is part of the continent’s armament campaign and aims to provide additional orders for weapons manufacturers that are struggling to increase production despite Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“We must buy more Europeans [weapons]Von der Leyin said in a speech in Copenhagen.

The threats of US president Donald Trump to withdraw protection has led to NATO allies and bilateral negotiations for peace with Moscow from European capitals and strengthened the rush to increase local defense capabilities on the continent.

Von der Layen said that the European Union countries “need to be able to fully rely on European defense supplies chains, especially in times of urgent need.

Giving Brussels such salts would represent a significant transition to the competencies of national capitals, which previously insisted on the existence of another opinion on national security matters. Officials said that the von der Layen’s proposal would need to gain support from most member states to reach its fruits.

“Our industrial base still has structural weaknesses.” We need to turn the tide.

The notes come a day before the launch of a defense strategy made up by the committee, which is scheduled to suggest that the committee work as a central buyer of military equipment.

The collective purchase proposal comes as well as a set of new financial ideas from Von Der Leyen aimed at encouraging European Union countries to increase their defensive spending.

It has proposed a new fund of 150 billion euros for capitals to invest in its armies, raise the rules of financial deficit in the European Union when applied to military spending, and to redirect the current financing flows from the European Union’s budget to projects related to stampede.
