Trump admin asks Supreme Court to allow firing of FTC member without cause

The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to allow the president to dismiss a member of the Federal Trade Committee, after the minimum courts decreed that he lacks the authority to remove members of independent agencies for no reason.

President Donald Trump moved to the shooting of Rebecca, earlier this year, but the lower courts ruled that it could keep its job because the law only allows the commissioners to remove issues such as misconduct or neglecting the duty.

The Supreme Court has already allowed the removal of many other members of the Board of Directors from independent agencies.

Judges also suggested that Trump’s removal authorities have restrictions on the Federal Reserve, which can be tested soon in the case of Lisa Cook, a member of the Federal Reserve Governor.
