Trump administration hits NY AG Letitia James with allegations of mortgage fraud

The Prosecutor of New York Lettia James was subjected to horrific allegations by the Trump administration, accusing her of defrauding a mortgage.

William Botti, director of FHFA, said in a letter to Public Prosecutor Bam Bondi that James appears to have forged records in order to meet some lending requirements and receive favorable loan conditions.

Torley added that James was also accused of saying that her father is her husband in order to present it as a married couple.

“The Supreme Court has just mentioned earlier in March, in a case called Thompson, that they want to see knowledge of false data under sections such as 10-14, and not just misleading statements,” Torley said. “These are misleading data: Either it is your main residence or not. The New York Post reported that the documents show that the property that James bought with her father had both parties as a “husband and wife” in 1983 and 2000.
