Trump calls on NATO to stop buying Russian oil and to hit China with up to 100% tariffs

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he believed that the war of Russia and the Krin will end if all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia and put a tariff on China from 50 % to 100 % to purchase Russian oil.
Trump has published on his social media website that NATO’s commitment to winning the war was “less than 100 %” and that the purchase of Russian oil by some coalition members is “horrific”. As if he was talking to NATO members, he said: “He greatly weakens your negotiating position, and the authority of bargaining, on Russia.”
Since 2023, NATO member Türkiye has been the third largest buyer of Russian oil, after China and India. According to the Center for Energy and Energy Search and Air. Among the other members of the coalition are 32 countries participating in the purchase of Russian oil, Hungary and Slovakia.
The position of Trump after the last flight of Russian drones arrives in Poland, a step ascending by Russia as it was entering the airspace of NATO ally. Poland shot down drones, but Trump has reduced the severity of the incursion and Russia’s motives by saying, “It could be a mistake.”
While Trump as a candidate promised to end the war quickly, he did not reach the pressure points needed to end the violence, sometimes he was hesitant against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Congress is currently trying to make the US president support sanctions tightening a draft law, after Trump hosted Putin last month in Alaska to hold talks that failed to make progress towards peace.
Trump said in his position that NATO’s ban on Russian oil as well as a customs tariff for China “will also be a great help in ending this deadly, but ridiculous war.”
The president said that NATO members should put a tariff from 50 % to 100 % on China and withdraw them if the war that started with Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine ends.
“China has strong control, and even a grip, on Russia,” deployment, and strong definitions “that will break that grip.”
The US President has already set an import tax of 25 % on goods from India to buy Russian energy products.
In his post, Trump said that the responsibility for the war fell on his predecessor, Democrat, Joe Biden, and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelinsky. Putin was not included in that list, which launched the invasion.
Trump’s publication depends on a call on Friday with the Finance Ministers of the Seven Group, a forum for industrial democracy. During the invitation, the American commercial actor, Jameson Jarir and Treasury Secretary Scott Besent, called their counterparts to a “unified front” to cut “Putin’s war machines in revenue,” according to Jarir’s office.
