President Donald Trump used his “Social Truth” post on Christmas Eve to tout his administration’s accomplishments and to attack leftists who he accused of trying to “destroy” the United States.
“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the scum of the radical left who are doing everything they can to destroy our country, but are failing miserably,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We no longer have open borders, men playing women’s sports, transgender people for everyone, or weak law enforcement. What we have is a record stock market, 401Ks, the lowest crime numbers in decades, no inflation, and yesterday, a GDP of 4.3, two points better than expected.”
The President added: “Tariffs have given us trillions of dollars in growth and prosperity, and the strongest national security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!!”
In the first year of Trump’s second term, the administration launched a tough crackdown on illegal immigration, imposed controversial tariffs, worked to cut DEI from government programs and took steps toward fulfilling other campaign promises.

The Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday that it has arrested 17,500 criminal illegal immigrants since Trump signed the Laken-Riley Act in January 2025. In a separate DHS announcement, the department revealed its “Top Worst Criminal Illegal Aliens of 2025,” saying 70% of all arrests made by ICE were of undocumented immigrants who have been “convicted or charged with a crime in the United States.”
“President Trump has enabled us to arrest and remove millions of violent criminal illegal aliens unleashed upon the United States by the previous administration,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement about the findings of the Laken-Riley Act. “Now, these criminals will face justice and be removed from our country.”
Trump’s Social Christmas Truth post about his administration’s accomplishments has also been supported by recent economic data. The Bureau of Economic Analysis on Tuesday released its preliminary estimate of third-quarter gross domestic product, which showed the economy grew at an annual rate of 4.3% in the three-month period including July, August and September.

While the president issued a brief statement on Christmas Eve on Truth Social, his official message on Christmas Day was softer and more focused on the meaning of the holiday and the season.
In the statement, issued by the White House on Thursday, Trump and First Lady Melania Trump conveyed their warm wishes to Americans while emphasizing the religious significance of Christmas.

“The First Lady and I send our warmest wishes to all Americans as we share the joy of Christmas Day and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” the letter read.
Trump went on to recount the biblical story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem, calling it “the perfect expression of God’s boundless love and desire to be close to his people.” The president then linked the story to the founding principles of the United States
“For nearly 250 years, the principles of faith, family, and freedom have been at the heart of our way of life. As President, I will never hesitate to stand up for the core values that make America the greatest nation in the history of the world — and we will always be one nation under God.”

The president also praised US military service members who are overseas and unable to be with their families for the holiday. Trump thanked them for their service, sacrifices, and dedication to protecting Americans.
“We are grateful for their dedication, and keep them and their loved ones close in our hearts.”
Trump ended his official message by praying for peace in the United States and around the world, expressing his Christmas wishes to Americans and the world.
He said: “During the Christmas season, we pray for the everlasting outpouring of God’s love, divine mercy, and lasting peace upon our country and the entire world… To every American, and to those celebrating around the world, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!”
