Trump commutes sentence of donor who obstructed inaugural committee probe

The White House confirmed with Fox News Digital that President Donald Trump on Wednesday reduced the sentence of the major political donor, who was spending time through a number of crimes, including obstructing the investigation into the Trump Opening Committee for 2017.
The New York Times reported that Iyad Zuberi, 54, was a major supporter of Democrats before Trump supported after his 2016 electoral victory, the New York Times reported. Before burning to Trump on the election night, he held the position of a package for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, including tasks in both his financial committees.

In 2020, he acknowledged that he was guilty of obstructing a federal investigation into a $ 900,000 donation source through his company to the Trump opening committee in late December 2016, according to the report.
Zuberi also acknowledged that he was guilty of falsifying the records submitted to the Ministry of Justice under the law of registration of foreign agents to hide his work in pressure on behalf of Sri Lanka.
Zuberi is claimed that millions of dollars were directed from the Sri Lankan contract for himself and his wife for personal purposes, the abbreviation of pressure groups, public relations and law offices, and some subcontractors who were part of the pressure voltage.
