Trump cracks down on ‘dangerous foreign actors’ with sweeping travel ban

President Donald Trump has signed a comprehensive thing that prevents traveling to the United States from nearly 20 countries that have been determined as highly dangerous to terrorism, abuse of visa and non -exchange of security information.
The new travel restrictions – announced by the Executive Order 14161 – apply to citizens from 12 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Libya and Yemen, all of which are considered “very high risks” due to terrorist activity, weak or hostile governments, and high insurance rates.

Seven other countries, including Venezuela, Cuba and Laos, face partial restrictions.
“President Trump meets his promise to protect Americans from dangerous foreign actors who want to come to our country and cause us harm to us,” the White House’s deputy secretary at the House of the House.
She described “logical” restrictions and targeted countries that “lack the appropriate scrutiny, show high visa rates, or fail to share identity and threat information.”
In a video posted on Wednesday night, Trump said: “The recent terrorist attack in Bulder, Colorado, has confirmed the severe risks that our country puts through the entry of foreign citizens who are not properly examined, as well as those who come here as temporary visitors and exceed their visas.”

“In the twenty -first century, we saw one terrorist attack after another carried out by foreign visa operations from dangerous places all over the world,” he added. “Thanks to Biden’s open policies, today there are millions and millions of those illegal who should not be in our country.”
Trump said his first -term travel restrictions were “one of our most successful policies” and “a major part of preventing major foreign terrorism attacks on American soil.”

Afghanistan, for example, has a student visa rate exceeding 29.3 % and is controlled by the Taliban, a dedicated global terrorist group.
Iran remains a sponsor of terrorism and has refused to cooperate with the American authorities. Libya, Somalia and Yemen all lack governments capable of issuing safe documents.

“We cannot get an open migration from any country where we cannot examine and photograph those who seek to enter the United States,” Trump said.
He concluded by saying: “For this reason, today I have a new executive that puts restrictions on traveling on countries, including Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Libya and many others.” “We will not allow people to enter our country who want to harm us, and nothing will prevent us from preserving safe America.”
