Trump predicts Gaza ceasefire likely ‘within the next week’

president Donald Trump expected that there would be a ceasefire in Gaza at some time “next week.”
Speaking with correspondents at the Oval Office on Friday, Trump described the situation in Gaza as a “terrible position”, but he expressed optimism that may be a release of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
“I think it’s close. I just spoken to some of the people concerned,” the president said.

Trump also addressed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying: “We provide, as you know, a lot of money and a lot of food to this field because we have to mean, on you. In theory, we do not participate in it, but we participate because people die.”
He called on other countries to send humanitarian aid to Gaza.
“You only see people’s lines for one meal, mainly. But it is very bad that other countries do not help,” he said.

“No one helps where we do this because I think we have to be on a humanitarian basis,” he said. “I look at these crowds of people who have no food, nothing., As you know, we are getting it there. Some of them take it as bad people, as you know, and you give it, and they are supposed to take care of people, and they end up stolen and sell it. But we have a good system now, so we help that.”
He said: “We are working on Gaza, and we are trying to get it over and over again, as you know, a lot of food has been sent there. Other countries around the world should also help.”
